SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch 4 Classic OS update
Watch software update on 09/02/2022 broke functionality of the swim.com app on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, watch app version 5.0.4 randomly records laps (less than 50% of a 1,000 m swim) and seems to not communicate correctly with watch sensors. Any chance getting this fixed asap?

Just bought a Galaxy 4 and had great expectations from Swim.com as Samsung Health is crappy for interval training. Big disappointment in finding just 650 meters swum out of 2400 meters. no trace of warmup, mixed drill distances , set of 4x(75m+225m) set, 20x50m set (not completed because I got upset with my purchase and I envied my team mates with an Apple watch and went for an early shower....I had a randomic output of my training

Francisco Bravo Rodriguez, thank you for suggestion. I had once first edition garmin swim but it was disappointing and now entirely dead. For sure technoogy made big leap in between but I was a little bit upset about garmin when resuming this device and found it dead. One teammate has garmin swim 2 but he pauses after each interval ,he told me, to have accurate recording. It looks only people happy are the ones with Apple watch..I'm not a fan of Apple and don't have Iphone as well , but it has to be said that they're always ahead of others. I've not tried Garmin more expensive ones but I didn't want to spend a fortune just to satisfy the curiosity about my swim trainings...For 230 euros a Galaxy 4, given brand name and price, shall record pool swim training decently I deem, if they only exported data of laps with timestamp the rearranging would have been trivial..provided that detction of rest start is accurate and sufficiently prompt..

Still no update on this? In summary, the app is currently useless on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: the only way to get any swims recorded is to switch the display of the watch to "always on" manually, before starting the app, and no swims >250 m are recorded for whatever reason. Watch switched on and off repeatedly, watch OS and app version (5.0.7) up-to-date, the lack of any updates or responses from Devs is rather disappointing. If this is not going anywhere, I would rather like to know and give up on the app for good by switching to Garmin.

Stefan same happened to me last time after 200m .it stopped accumulating swum distance. I threw my galaxy in a drawer for the time being and hope they fix Samsung Health or swim.com someday...now I use a finis tempo pro to keep pace for each lenght try to count accurately the sets and try to survive the breath and heart. Don t care on calories. If i keep pace assigned by coach and do the entire training without stopping to survive I ve done what I had to...

I have finally given up and bought a Garmin Fenix 6X pro, easy to set up, Garmin Connect is a breeze and jumped into the pool for various lengths of workout without dropping a single lap, no fiddling around or apps crashing. This is me done with the swim.com app, unfortunately.
