GETTING STARTED
Swim.com is available on WearOS devices running version 2.0 or later. For watches running an older version of WearOS (also known as AndroidWear 1.5), such as the Sony Smartwatch 3, you will only be able to run a legacy version of Swim.com on your AndroidWear watch which is no longer supported or being improved upon.
To install the Swim.com WearOS app, open the Play Store on your watch and use the search function to find the Swim.com app and install it.
The Swim.com WearOS app can be used with either an Android or iOS mobile device*. When you first open the app on your watch, a screen will appear asking you to login to your account on your mobile device. Touch this watch screen and it should then open the WearOS app on your paired mobile phone and redirect you to a login page for Swim.com where you can enter your credentials to complete the pairing of your watch app to you Swim.com account.
*when using Swim.com on a WearOS watch paired to an iOS mobile device, your watch must have an active WiFi connection to the internet in order to transfer swim data from the watch to our online server. Data cannot be transmitted via the Bluetooth connection between watch and phone due to restrictions put in place by Apple on third-party app data transfers.
FEATURES
HISTORY
This section show you your past swims. Next to a swim there is an icon with a cloud. This cloud will either show a check mark or an arrow. Clouds with check marks mean the workout has synced to our server. Clouds with arrows mean these workouts are not yet synced. To force a workout to sync, touch the cloud/arrow icon or open the workout in your history.
GOAL
This option allows you to set an alarm for a one-time alert during your swim when you reach your set distance goal. The alert will vibrate your watch once you are either in resting mode at the wall, or during the length after you complete the distance (this is because the watch needs to process that you did complete the distance and the alert will show up once this has registered)
SELECT WORKOUT
This feature allows for users to import scripted workout plans to the watch for reference during a swim either before or during your workout. It is intended to take the place of a physical print out and is not currently an auto-prompt feature. For instruction on how to import a workout to your watch, please click here.
AUTOMATIC TOUCH SCREEN (WATER) LOCK
Once you have started a swim, the touch screen will automatically be disabled to prevent the electric current in the water from making false touches on the capacitive screen. To wake the screen up you will need to press one of the physical buttons (typically the power button on most watches). If you wake the watch mid-workout, you do not need to manually lock the screen again – this will happen automatically when you resume swimming.
DRILL AND PACE (SEND-OFF) MODE
Drill mode is intended to be used for kickboard sets or anytime you are not using one of the four standard strokes (free, fly, breast, back). Drill mode lets you preset a distance and run a timer so that your set distance is accurately recorded and added to your total. This is especially necessary for kick sets because the watch is not moving (holding on to kickboard) and so the app would interpret that as resting. Motion algorithms programmed into the app will only detect the four standard strokes, and so swimming a non-standard stroke or drill could cause inaccurate distance recording if left in regular swim mode.
Pace, or send-off timers, allow the watch to have a recurring countdown timer that vibrates at the end and resets the countdown until you disable it. This allows for swimmers to know how far on or off pace they are, and when they need to leave the wall to start swimming the next set.
In order to access drill mode and pace (send-off) timers swipe from left to right or use the watch’s physical scrolling button to scroll up.
ADDITIONAL SCREEN VIEWS
To access additional screen views, such as current swim stats (strokes per length, SWOLF score, and pace), previous interval information, heart rate, and more - swipe from right to left or scroll down using the physical button scroller.
ENDING A WORKOUT
To end the workout, swipe from right to left or scroll down until you reach the “end swim” screen.
AndroidWear Legacy version:
This legacy version of the Swim.com app will be installed automatically on your AndroidWear device by the parent Swim.com app on your Android phone, since AndroidWear devices do not have access to the standalone Google Play store from the watch.

Bien mais compliqué a mettre en place pour des novices
Workouts don't really sync with the Wear app. It just shows some random workouts, not my favorites.
